Meet Dr. Rebecca Rock

Born and raised in the Adirondacks in upstate New York, Dr. Rock is the daughter of a high school math teacher and a registered nurse. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York magna cum laude with a BS in Biology, with awards including the Norris Prize and Phi Beta Kappa honors. She graduated at the top of her class from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York, with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Accolades continued through her residency training as she received the Young Award for Outstanding Intern and Resident of the Year two years in a row, and served as Chief Resident in Medicine at Northwestern University's Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. Upon completion of formal education she combined her love of teaching medical residents with caring for patients through various experiences within private practice and multi-specialty groups and clinics at Northwestern University.

Rebecca's nurturing spirit turned towards home as she paused her professional career to welcome two beautiful children into the world. After a family relocation to Naples in 2006, Rebecca returned to her field of study determined to better the quality of life in her family of patients. While originally Board Certified after residency, Dr. Rock took the recertification exam in 2008.

The practice of Rebecca Rock, MD Concierge Medicine was borne out of a need to return to her personal philosophy of medicine that is greatly restricted within the confines of an insurance-governed medical practice. "As much of our health is impacted by the stresses and pressures of the way we live today, having knowledge of your habits and beliefs and your family structure has a tremendous impact on how I treat you." The concierge concept allows her the time to examine the biological, psychological and social aspects of a patient's illness and truly educate patients to understand the disease process.
